GREN's
ceramic-matrix brake pads(December 11, 2001) |
|
 |
 |
On December
11, 2001, GREN announced its successful
development of new product of
ceramic-matrix brake pads at the expert
appraisal conference.
The ceramic fiber compound, so far, is known as a high-tech
application in friction material
manufacturing industry.
Integrated with the latest friction technology, the new brake
friction formulation that GREN developed
fills up a gap which has hitherto
existed in the domestic friction
material in China. GREN ceramic friction
material features the exceptional
thermal resistance high up to
1300oF/700oC, providing added measure of
safety to the drivers. Note: the brake
temperature at 1100oF/600oC may cause
cracks in the ordinary brake pads and
will result the thermal breakdown and
the total brake failure. |
